How to Return the Coinbase Full Position Leverage

Coinbase offers a leverage trading feature that allows users to borrow funds to increase their trading positions. However, this feature is currently only available to a limited number of users. If you have been granted access to this feature, you may be wondering how to return the borrowed funds and reduce your leverage.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to return the Coinbase full position leverage:

Step 1: Navigate to the Leverage Trading Platform

To begin, you need to navigate to the Coinbase leverage trading platform. You can do this by clicking on the "Trade" tab in the Coinbase dashboard and then selecting "Leverage" from the drop-down menu.

Step 2: Select the Position You Want to Reduce

Once you are on the leverage trading platform, you will need to select the position you want to reduce. You can do this by clicking on the "Positions" tab and then selecting the position you want to close.

Step 3: Click on the "Reduce Leverage" Button

Once you have selected the position you want to reduce, you will need to click on the "Reduce Leverage" button. This button is located in the bottom right corner of the position details page.

Step 4: Enter the Amount of Leverage You Want to Return

Once you have clicked on the "Reduce Leverage" button, you will need to enter the amount of leverage you want to return. You can do this by entering the amount in the "Amount" field.

Step 5: Click on the "Confirm" Button

Once you have entered the amount of leverage you want to return, you will need to click on the "Confirm" button. This button is located at the bottom of the confirmation window.

Step 6: Wait for the Transaction to Complete

Once you have clicked on the "Confirm" button, the transaction will be submitted to the blockchain. The transaction will take a few minutes to complete.

Step 7: Verify the Transaction

Once the transaction has completed, you can verify the transaction by clicking on the "Transactions" tab in the Coinbase dashboard. The transaction will be listed as a "Leverage Reduction" transaction.

Step 8: Your Leverage Will Be Reduced

Once the transaction has been verified, your leverage will be reduced. You can check your leverage by clicking on the "Leverage" tab in the Coinbase dashboard.

Additional Tips:

  • You can only reduce leverage up to the amount of borrowed funds you have.
*You cannot close a position completely by reducing leverage. You will need to sell the asset to close the position completely.

Warnings:

  • Leverage trading is risky and can result in significant losses.
*Do not use leverage trading unless you understand the risks involved.
*Only use leverage trading with funds that you can afford to lose.
