How to Open a Contract Cooling-off Period at KuCoin

Step 1: Log in to Your KuCoin Account

  • Navigate to the KuCoin website (https://www.kucoin.com/) and sign in to your account.
  • Enter your username and password, or use your preferred login method.

Step 2: Access the Contract Trading Page

  • From the KuCoin homepage, hover over the "Trade" tab and select "Futures" from the dropdown menu.
  • This will take you to the Contract Trading interface.

Step 3: Find the Contract You Want to Apply Cooling-off Period for

  • In the left-hand menu, select the contract market you wish to apply the cooling-off period to.
  • For example, if you want to apply it to Bitcoin Futures (BTCUSD), choose "BTCUSD."

Step 4: Locate the Cooling-off Period Button

  • Scroll down the contract details page and locate the "Cooling-off Period" section.
  • Click on the "Apply" button next to this section.

Step 5: Set the Cooling-off Duration

  • A pop-up window will appear where you can set the duration of the cooling-off period.
  • Choose from the available options (usually ranging from 12 hours to 14 days).

Step 6: Confirm the Cooling-off Period

  • Once you have selected the duration, click on the "Confirm" button.
  • You will be notified that the cooling-off period has been applied.

Step 7: Understand the Impact of Cooling-off Period

  • During the cooling-off period, you will not be able to trade the selected contract.
  • Any open positions in that contract will be automatically closed.
  • The cooling-off period is designed to give you time to reconsider your trading strategy and make informed decisions.

Additional Considerations

  • You can apply a cooling-off period to multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • The cooling-off period cannot be canceled once applied.
  • If the cooling-off period expires, you will be able to trade the contract again.
