Leverage trading is a technique in which traders use borrowed funds to amplify their trading potential. On Bitget, traders can employ leverage up to 100x, enabling them to multiply their profits at the potential cost of increased risk.
2. Identifying Your Leverage Positions
Before closing a leverage position, it's crucial to identify the position you intend to close. Bitget offers two primary trading modes: spot trading and leverage trading. Ensure you're accessing the correct trading section.
3. Navigating to the Leverage Trading Platform
To close a leverage position, navigate to the leverage trading platform on Bitget. You can access this via the "Trade" menu and selecting "Leverage."
4. Selecting the Leverage Position to Close
Once on the leverage trading platform, identify the specific position you wish to close. It will be displayed as an open order within the "Positions" tab.

6. Confirming the Position Closure
In the confirmation window, double-check that you have selected the correct position and that the details match your intentions. If everything is in order, click on the "Confirm" button.
7. Monitoring the Order Status
Upon confirming the closure, Bitget will execute your close request and update the status of your position. You can monitor the progress within the "Recent Trades" tab.
8. Finalizing the Position Closure
Once the order has been executed successfully, your leverage position will be closed, and the funds will be returned to your trading account. You can verify this by refreshing the "Positions" tab and observing that the closed position is no longer listed.
