How to open a BitMEX contract account How to open

To initiate cryptocurrency trading, navigate to the BitMEX website, establish an account, activate two-factor authentication for security, and fund your account with your preferred cryptocurrency.

Step 1: Create a BitMEX Account

  1. Navigate to the BitMEX website and click on the "Sign Up" button.
  2. Enter your email address, create a password, and agree to the terms of service.
  3. Click on the "Create Account" button.
  4. Check your email for a confirmation link and click on it to verify your account.

Step 2: Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

  1. Log in to your BitMEX account.
  2. Click on the "Security" tab.
  3. Scroll down to the "Two-Factor Authentication" section.
  4. Click on the "Enable 2FA" button.
  5. Choose the method you want to use for 2FA (email, Google Authenticator, or SMS).
  6. Follow the instructions to set up 2FA.

Step 3: Fund Your BitMEX Account

  1. Click on the "Deposit" button in the top navigation bar.
  2. Select the cryptocurrency you want to deposit.
  3. Enter the amount you want to deposit.
  4. Click on the "Deposit" button.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the deposit.

Step 4: Create a Contract Trading Account

  1. Click on the "Trade" tab in the top navigation bar.
  2. Select the contract you want to trade.
  3. Click on the "Create Account" button.
  4. Enter the amount of margin you want to use.
  5. Click on the "Create Account" button.

Step 5: Start Trading Contracts

  1. Once you have created a contract trading account, you can start trading contracts.
  2. Click on the "Trade" tab in the top navigation bar.
  3. Select the contract you want to trade.
  4. Enter the order type, quantity, and price.
  5. Click on the "Place Order" button.

Step 6: Manage Your Contract Positions

  1. Once you have placed an order, you can manage your contract positions in the "Positions" tab.
  2. You can view the current price of the contract, your profit/loss, and the margin you are using.
  3. You can also close your positions by clicking on the "Close Position" button.

Step 7: Withdraw Funds from BitMEX

  1. Click on the "Withdraw" button in the top navigation bar.
  2. Select the cryptocurrency you want to withdraw.
  3. Enter the amount you want to withdraw.
  4. Enter the address you want to withdraw to.
  5. Click on the "Withdraw" button.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the withdrawal.
