How to add margin to AscendEX contract

To enable margin trading in AscendEX Contract, navigate to the Trade tab and select Margin, then activate Margin Trading for the desired trading pair, adjusting leverage as needed.

How to Add Margin to AscendEX Contract

1. Log in to ascendex.com

  • Navigate to the AscendEX website and log in to your account.
  • Once logged in, hover over the "Trade" tab and click on "Margin."

2. Select the trading pair

  • Find the trading pair on which you wish to add margin.
  • Click on the trading pair to open the trading interface.

3. Enable margin trading

  • Locate the "Margin Trading" section at the bottom of the trading interface.
  • Click on the "Enable Margin Trading" button.

4. Transfer funds to margin account (optional)

  • If you don't have sufficient funds in your margin account, you can transfer funds from your spot account.
  • Click on the "Transfer" button to transfer funds from your spot account to your margin account.

5. Adjusting leverage

  • You can leverage your position by adjusting the "Leverage" value.
  • The leverage you choose will determine how much margin you need to maintain.

6. Placing a margin order

  • If you wish to go long on the trading pair, click on the "Buy" button.
  • If you wish to go short on the trading pair, click on the "Sell" button.
  • Enter the order quantity and click on the "Buy" or "Sell" button to place the order.

7. Margin details

  • Once the order is placed, you can view the margin details in the "Margin History" tab.
  • This tab shows the margin used, the leverage, and the maintenance margin.

8. Manage margin positions

  • You can manage your margin positions by closing them or by adjusting the leverage.
  • To close a position, click on the "Close Position" button.
  • Once the position is closed, any funds remaining in the margin account will be transferred back to the spot account.
