The issue price of ADA coins, the native cryptocurrency of the Cardano blockchain, was $0.0245 when it was first offered in an initial coin offering (ICO) in 2017.
2. Issue Quantity
During the ICO, a total of 45 billion ADA coins were issued, representing 75% of the total supply of 64 billion ADA.
3. Distribution of Issued Coins
The issued ADA coins were distributed as follows:
- 31.11 billion (70%): Sold to public contributors during the ICO
- 13.89 billion (30%): Reserved for the Cardano Foundation, IOHK (Input Output Hong Kong), and early investors
