Japanese Bitcoin treasury firm Metaplanet has issued 2 billion yen ($13.35 million) in bonds to continue expanding its BTC reserves.

The company announced on Feb. 27 that it will be issuing 40 0% ordinary bonds with a face value of 50 million yen each, which will be fully redeemable on August 26, 2025.

The proceeds of the bonds will be allocated to Evo Fund, a Bitcoin acquisition fund established by Metaplanet in May 2024.
