Los Angeles, California - Pantera Capital, a prominent investment firm with $5.2 billion in assets under management, has emerged as a triumphant bidder in the auction of a significant trove of locked Solana tokens from the now-defunct FTX exchange.

According to an anonymous source reported by Bloomberg, Pantera was among the winning parties in the auction, which saw approximately 2,000 Solana tokens sold.

FTX, through its bankruptcy administrators, has successfully disposed of around two-thirds of its 41 million locked tokens to industry heavyweights such as Galaxy Digital and Pantera, raising $2.6 billion in the process. The tokens were sold at an average price of approximately $60 each.

Pantera Capital, too, announced its fundraising efforts of $250 million to participate in the token acquisition.
