A Chinese fund manager has highlighted its fund's cryptocurrency exposure in an attempt to attract investors during a record-breaking bitcoin rally, despite Beijing's hostile stance on the digital assets.

An advertisement for the fund, which reads “Cryptocurrencies soaring, start investing with 10 yuan,” was seen on Alipay, the Chinese fintech giant Ant Group's mobile wallet app, crypto-focused outlet Wu Blockchain reported on Thursday.

根據專注於加密貨幣的媒體 Wu Blockchain 週四報道，中國金融科技巨頭螞蟻集團的行動錢包應用程式支付寶上出現了該基金的廣告，上面寫著「加密貨幣飆升，開始投資 10 元」。

The fund, a Qualified Domestic Institutional Investor (QDII) fund operated by Shanghai-based Hwabao WP Fund Management, boasts in the ad that it is heavily invested in Coinbase, a US cryptocurrency exchange listed in New York, and the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF offered by US asset manager Ark Invest.

該基金是上海華寶基金管理有限公司營運的合格境內機構投資者（QDII）基金，在廣告中宣稱其大量投資於紐約上市的美國加密貨幣交易所Coinbase，並提供ARK 21Shares比特幣ETF由美國資產管理公司Ark Invest投資。

QDII products, which allow qualified institutional investors to acquire overseas securities, have been one of the few avenues where individual mainland Chinese investors can access offshore equities.

QDII產品允許合格的機構投資者購買海外證券，是中國內地個人投資者獲得離岸股票的少數管道之一。

The top holdings of the QDII fund Hwabao marketed on Alipay include Ark Invest's ARK Innovation ETF and ARK Fintech innovation ETF, both of which have Coinbase among their top holdings.

在支付寶上市的QDII基金華寶的重倉股包括Ark Invest旗下的ARK Innovation ETF和ARK Fintech Innovation ETF，這兩家基金的重倉股都有Coinbase。

“The fund is issued by Hwabao WP Fund and advertised through its account on the Ant Fortune page,” a spokesperson at Ant Fortune, Ant Group's wealth management platform, told Forkast.
