EastEnders fans were left in stitches after Natalie Cassidy revealed a line of dialogue was changed last minute for the BBC One soap’s live episode.

Last week, to conclude the week of 40th anniversary celebrations, EastEnders went live for half an hour.

Among the drama, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) was seen supporting Martin Fowler (James Bye), who had become trapped under a beam following the Queen Vic explosion.

‘I was supposed to flip a coin in that scene. So when we first got the script, I take out a coin – because it’s all about Denise making her decision’, she explained.
