TikTok user @CoinCollectingWizard, with a hefty 189,000 followers, has been discussing the coin. Sure, we're all clued up on the Kew Gardens 50p, but did you know it comes in gold?

With the original released back in 2009 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the London gardens, there were just 210,000 of these thrown into circulation.

They can sell for around £250 on eBay, but sometimes could fetch even more. But there's a gold version of this 50p where the real money is – and we're talking £7,000.

In a recent video, the user revealed: "£7,000 for this 50p but only if it's gold. The ultra rare version of the Kew Gardens 50p was estimated to fetch between £5,000 and £6,000."

The lucky winner at auction scooped up this PF 70 grade gem with only 629 of these shiny gold proof Kew Gardens 50p coins around since 2009.

The clip, which was shared not long ago, quickly racked up loads of likes and comments. One quizzed: "Do you have this beautiful coin?" Meanwhile, others were totally swooning over the design.
