Mysten Labs, the original contributor to the Sui blockchain and a leading blockchain infrastructure provider, has announced the launch of the SuiPlay0X1 handheld gaming device, which is now available for pre-order. This device marks a significant milestone as the first of its kind to integrate blockchain technology seamlessly with traditional gaming functions.

According to the announcement, pre-orders for the SuiPlay0X1 will continue until all units are sold. The device is priced at $599 USD, excluding shipping and tax, and can be purchased using SUI, ETH, and SOL cryptocurrencies.

notably, the first one thousand customers will receive a soul-bound NFT, granting them special access, rewards, and perks within the gaming ecosystem. These pre-orders are anticipated to be delivered in 2025.

Adeniyi Abiodun, Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of Mysten Labs, highlighted the core philosophy behind the device.

“At the end of the day, gamers don’t care what tech is powering a game. Games simply have to be fun and work flawlessly. The SuiPlay0X1 is designed to ensure that blockchain technology enhances the gaming experience without compromising on fun or functionality,” said Adeniyi.

The SuiPlay0X1 promises compatibility with PC games from multiple platforms, including Steam and Epic Games, and will feature exclusive Sui-powered titles.

Among these titles are XOCIETY, a Pop Shooter with RPG elements, offering both dynamic PvP battles and immersive PvE experiences, and DARKTIMES, which introduces players to a Nordic-inspired medieval Brawler Royale with a physics-based combat system.

Kirt McMaster, CEO and Founder of Playtron, also shared his vision for the device.

“SuiPlay is set to deliver the first of a new generation of handheld gaming systems powered by our robust GameOS. We’re excited to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the gaming world,” said Kirt.
