MyShell (SHELL) rose sharply on Thursday as the market jostled for positioning amid the artificial intelligence related project's anticipated listing on crypto exchange Binance.

MyShell (SHELL) price rose sharply on Thursday as the market jostled for positioning amid the anticipated listing of the artificial intelligence related project on crypto exchange Binance.

Gains for SHELL also defied the overall downturn, with most cryptocurrencies in the red on the day and over the past week.

Binance listing catapults MyShell price to new high

SHELL, the native token of the AI consumer layer MyShell, spiked more than 34% to reach a new all-time high of $0.68. The project, which is building an agentic framework for AI agents, benefited from upside momentum catalysed by news that Binance will be adding trading support for SHELL.

Having changed hands around $0.45, MyShell price rocketed to above $0.60 and broke the previous ATH reached on Feb. 17. The token’s uptick means the current price is about 188% from the lows of $0.21 seen on Feb. 13.

Binance announced that the exchange will be listing SHELL on February 27, 2025.

The top CEX plans to add trading pairs for SHELL against BTC, BNB, USDT, USDC and the FDUSD. SHELL will also have a trading pair with the fiat currency Try.

According to Binance, an airdrop for MyShell will occur on Thursday, Feb. 27. With this will also be the official listing of the SHELL token, expected at 13:00 UTC.

Trading support for the cryptocurrency will include a seed tag, Binance noted. A seed tag is a marker added to the listed token to indicate the project is new and its price may experience huge volatility. It signals potential risk to buyers.

SHELL daily volume spikes 209%

The listing announcement saw a notable influx into MyShell, with the native token witnessing a major spike.

SHELL’s daily trading volume rose by more than 209% to over $140 million, while the market cap increased 34% to $172 million. The project’s fully diluted valuation currently stands at $642 million. MyShell has a total supply of 1 billion and circulating supply of 270 million SHELL.
