Hawk-Tuah Girl Haliey Welch Has Mostly Disappeared From the Internet

The reports about Haley "Tuah" Welch's whereabouts and the lawsuit concerning the $HAWK token can be found in the original article, which is linked above.

In an unpublicised episode of her podcast Talk Tuah, which has since been deleted, Welch broke down in tears as she spoke about the cryptocurrency venture.

A new episode of the podcast, featuring FaZe Clan founder Banks, saw Welch get visibly upset as she discussed the fallout from the $HAWK token launch, which went haywire when it was massively hyped up and sold for a high price on December 4.

The episode, which was later deleted, saw Banks visibly comfort Welch as she broke down in tears, and he went on to slam her team on X.

"I'm not greenlit any episode of the podcast to be released, I'm not involved in the running of the podcast, I'm a guest," he wrote. "Haley's team knows this. They're running wild with no respect for me or the craft of podcasting. Episode has now been deleted."

It's important to note that in the days prior to the episode's release, Banks had been hyping up the new episode of the podcast with Welch, and he also shared a post in which he said he was a "huge fan" of Welch's.

Earlier in January, a lawsuit was filed in a US federal court, as reported by International Business Times, accusing influencer marketing platform overHere, its founder Clinton So, social media influencer Alex Larson Schultz and the Tuah The Moon Foundation (which is understood to have overseen the finances of the meme coin) of unlawfully promoting and selling cryptocurrency that was allegedly never properly registered.

The lawsuit, which was filed by a group of investors who are seeking class-action status, arises from the failed launch of the meme coin, which quickly burned through billions of dollars in a matter of hours on December 4.

After being hyped up heavily by influencers and featuring an initial price of $0.37, $HAWK token's value shot up to $490 million (according to CoinMarketCap) and it was being traded at a high of $2.45.

However, in a sudden downturn of events, the token's price crashed to just $0.03 in the afternoon, leading to millions of dollars in collective losses for those who had bought into the cryptocurrency.

As reported by CoinMarketCap, $HAWK token fell victim to a ‘rug pull’, snipers who buy the asset where it's cheaper and instantly sell it where it's more expensive ended up making a huge profit.

The lawsuit claims that overHere, which is the platform that $HAWK token was launched on, and So, allegedly “knew or should have known” that the actions of the influencer marketing firm and its founder would lead to investors suffering losses.

The lawsuit also asserts that Schultz, a team member nicknamed Doc Hollywood, and the foundation were aware of the alleged unlawful conduct and failed to take steps to prevent it.

In a statement to International Business Times, overHere said that it “believed in that vision so much that pushed harder and harder, perhaps through rose-tinted glasses and naivety about others' intentions, as the project began to unravel.”

The company added that someone who is known as Doc Hollywood “controlled all decisions, fees, treasury” and he charged “15 per cent trading fees (none to overHere), [was] silent during market chaos and ignored calls for transparency”.

“We, like the community, were misled by someone who had no interest in anything other than personal gain,” overHere's statement concluded.

In response to the lawsuit, an attorney for Schultz, who is a member of the influencer collective Drag Queen Wine Cellar, told the publication that the allegations were "false and defamatory".

An attorney for the foundation also denied the allegations to the news outlet.

As for Welch, the last post about this that she shared was on December 20 on X / Twitter.

“I take this situation extremely seriously and want to address my fans, the investors who have been affected and the broader community,” she wrote.

“I am fully co-operating with and am committed to assisting the legal team representing the individuals impacted, as well as to help uncover the truth, hold the responsible parties accountable and resolve this matter.”

It would appear that Welch has decided to keep a low profile until the investigation concludes. The only thing followers have heard from her is an upcoming episode of her podcast, which leaked online in early February and would see her talking about the ordeal for the first time.
