The biggest gainer among the top ten cryptocurrencies was Story (IP), which rose nearly 14 percent. The token is used for the Story protocol, a blockchain-based protocol for creating and consuming multimedia stories.
The second biggest gainer was Aptos (APT), which rose more than eight percent. Aptos is a Layer 1 blockchain that is designed to be highly scalable and efficient. It is also highly secure, thanks to its use of the Move programming language.
The third biggest gainer was Optimism (OP), which rose more than seven percent. Optimism is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum. It uses optimistic rollups to bundle together multiple transactions off-chain and then post them to the Ethereum mainnet in batches. This can significantly increase throughput and reduce fees.
