Animoca Brands Joins the MultiversX Ecosystem as a Validator and Ecosystem Contributor

In an effort to accelerate blockchain adoption, Animoca Brands has officially joined the MultiversX ecosystem as both a validator and an ecosystem contributor. This strategic move is designed to capitalize on the strengths of Animoca Brands’ extensive investment portfolio while integrating with the MultiversX blockchain network and its development tools, including Sovereign Chains.

Animoca Brands, the renowned Web3 investment firm, has officially joined the MultiversX ecosystem both as a validator and an ecosystem contributor. This move aims to leverage Animoca Brands’ vast investment portfolio and combine it with MultiversX’s blockchain network and development tools, including Sovereign Chains.

Announcing Animoca Brands' Integration into the MultiversX Ecosystem

Hong Kong-based Animoca Brands is recognized for its early investments in leading platforms such as OpenSea, Decentraland, and The Sandbox. The company's portfolio spans more than 540 investments in blockchain gaming, digital collectibles, metaverse and open-world experiences, enterprise solutions, Web3 infrastructure, cryptocurrencies, and DeFi.

This collaboration follows MultiversX's fourth phase staking upgrade (Staking V4), which has led to a 50% improvement in the network's Nakamoto Coefficient and enables new validators to enter the network based on their staked EGLD, eliminating the former queue-based system.

Animoca Brands has swiftly integrated with these changes and now maintains a staking pool that exceeds 100,000 EGLD.
